Deadly winners congratulated
16 October 2009NSW Minister for Aboriginal Affairs today congratulated the winners of the 15th Annual Deadly Awards, held at the Sydney Opera House last night.
The Deadly Awards recognise the achievements of Indigenous people in the areas of community, the arts, sport and music.
The NSW Government provided $10,000 towards the event which attracted almost 2000 people.
"I congratulate the winners and the nominees. There are many talented people in our communities, who are looked up to by all Australians," Mr Lynch said.
